CMP Products has announced a strategic restructure of its UK and Europe sales team, reinforcing the company’s commitment to sustainable growth, deeper customer understanding and long-term market leadership.
As part of the new structure, Laurie Wilson has been promoted to Regional Manager (UK, Ireland & Europe and Central Asia), recognising more than a decade of contribution to the business. Jean-Baptiste Praud has been promoted to Regional Sales Manager (Europe), while Gary Groves joins CMP as Regional Sales Manager (UK and Ireland) from Riello UPS. Jean-Baptiste and Gary will report to Laurie, who in turn reports to CEO Vince Patterson.
In addition, Kath Kearns will transition into the role of Key Account Manager (Europe), further strengthening support for strategic customers across the region. With nearly 39 years at the business, she has played a significant role in driving growth and building strong, long-standing relationships with customers across Europe. Her new role ensures continued focus on these key partnerships.
The restructure follows a comprehensive review of CMP’s sales model, focused on strengthening regional leadership, succession planning, customer service and lead generation. By bringing the UK, Ireland and Europe under a unified leadership structure, CMP aims to enhance strategic alignment, improve resource efficiency and deliver a consistent, high-quality experience for multinational customers, while retaining strong local market expertise.
Speaking about the restructure, Vince Patterson, CEO at CMP, said: “As we continue driving our market-leading position through sustainable investment in our people and a deeper understanding of our customers, it is essential that our sales structure reflects that ambition. This new model strengthens collaboration, enhances accountability and ensures we are well positioned to support customers with the safety, reliability and efficiency they expect from CMP.”
CMP’s cable glands, cleats and accessories continue to see strong demand across the UK and Europe, alongside established markets in the Americas, the Middle East and Australasia. With nine international offices and active sales operations across six continents, the business remains focused on sustainable investment in its people, manufacturing capability and customer relationships to support continued global growth.
