Midlands-based Mid-Tech Air Products has moved to new, larger offices to support the ongoing expansion of its Ingersoll Rand compressed air spare parts business.

The company supplies the full range of genuine Ingersoll Rand compressor spares, compressors, vacuum pumps and blowers – including CompAir, Hydrovane, Champion, Gardner Denver, Elmo Rietschle, Robuschi and Reavell – and has been operating from its Willenhall head office since 2009, supported by a depot in Sheffield.

Following record growth last year and expectations to exceed sales targets again this year, the team has moved into larger, purpose-built premises within its current location at West Midlands House. Chris Hall, Director and General Manager, explained:

“In recent years, we've seen an influx of third-party or pirate spare parts into the UK market. For distributors and end-users, it can be tempting to opt for these non-genuine spares due to their cheaper initial cost.

"However, the team at Mid-Tech Air Products has been working hard to educate the market on the importance of selecting OEM spares, which are designed specifically for the compressor installation to offer the life expectancy and energy performance required.

"As more customers insist on genuine spare parts, understanding the long-term benefits of maintaining productivity, uptime and operational efficiency, the team at Mid-Tech Air Products has seen a significant increase in orders. As a result, we've opened our new offices to support our expanding business."

Single-source supply

In addition to supplying multiple Ingersoll Rand brands directly to compressed air and vacuum distributors and selected end-users across the UK, Mid-Tech has recently been appointed the sole distributor for Gardner Denver Positive Displacement blowers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The extensive range is used for moving air in a wide array of industrial applications and includes lobe and screw blowers – such as straight bi-lobe, straight tri-lobe, twisted tri-lobe, helical screw blowers – and full blower packages.
