HJ Consulting Engineers (HJCE), a leading civil and structural engineering consultancy, has moved into a new, larger office at Wakefield 41 Business Park, close to Junction 41 of the M1 motorway. The relocation marks a significant milestone in the firm’s continued expansion across the UK.

The new premises offer upgraded facilities, improved access, and space for further team growth. This will enable HJCE to better support its growing national client base and project portfolio. The move follows a period of rapid recruitment, with four new engineers joining the firm in the past month, bringing the total team to 25 specialists.

Founded in 2008, HJCE delivers expert civil and structural engineering services across sectors including commercial, residential, industrial, healthcare, education, and infrastructure. The firm is recognised for its practical, solutions-led approach and works closely with developers, architects, planners and contractors to deliver efficient and technically robust design solutions.

“Our new base at Wakefield 41 Business Park is ideally located to serve our clients across the UK,” said Andrew Fairburn, Managing Director at HJCE. “It reflects the scale of the business today and positions us well for continued growth. The office gives our expanding team the space and facilities they need to collaborate effectively and deliver the high standard of service we’re known for.”

HJCE’s core services include:

  • Civil engineering design
  • Structural engineering design
  • Flood risk assessments
  • Drainage strategies
  • SUDS design
  • Structural surveys

With a growing number of multidisciplinary projects underway, HJCE continues to invest in its people and systems to meet increasing client demand.

The Wakefield relocation is part of the company’s long-term strategy to strengthen its national presence, improve service delivery, and foster a modern working environment that encourages innovation and professional development.

HJCE is currently recruiting additional engineers to support its expanding operations.
