A Yorkshire civil and structural engineering firm has secured undisclosed work to support plans for an ambitious multi-million-pound regeneration scheme in South Yorkshire.

Wakefield-based HJ Consulting will provide consultancy advice alongside civil and structural engineering services to Premcor Estates, which has secured planning approval for the 43-acre Mode 18 development at Rossington, Doncaster.

The brief includes ground engineering and highway design, as well as drainage design, hydraulic modelling, SUDs design, flood risk assessment and drainage strategy planning.

Located three miles south of Doncaster, adjacent to the M18 motorway and close to the iPort Logistics Park, the site will feature a pre-let electric vehicle-ready logistics yard, with outline consent for up to 450,000 sq ft of industrial, warehousing and logistics space.

Enabling works are now under way, including construction of a new 0.75km link road providing direct access from the main highway network into the site.

The development comes as HJ Consulting, which is based at Wakefield 41 Business Park and employs a 26-strong team of engineers, continues to see demand from private and public sector clients bringing forward their development plans.
