SEW-EURODRIVE UK Appoints New Operations Director to Drive Ongoing Growth

SEW-EURODRIVE UK, a market leader in drive technology, has promoted long-standing team member Andy Turner to the role of Operations Director, as the company continues its impressive growth trajectory.
Andy brings 17 years of experience within SEW-EURODRIVE to the role, having progressed through a series of key sales and operational positions. He originally joined the business in 2008 as an external area sales manager and was appointed internal sales and marketing manager in 2021. A year later, he took on the combined role of sales and operations manager, further strengthening his leadership credentials.
Beginning his career as an apprentice, Andy offers deep-rooted knowledge of the drives and controls sector, with particular expertise across the full supply chain.
Based at SEW-EURODRIVE’s Normanton headquarters, Andy will now oversee both the sales and production teams. He will work closely with Managing Director John Pickup to support the company’s strategic ambitions.
SEW-EURODRIVE UK forms part of the global SEW-EURODRIVE group, widely regarded as the world’s leading provider of integrated drive technology solutions. The UK operation delivers tailored products, software, and support services across diverse industries including logistics, manufacturing, and airport handling.
The company’s 10,000 sq ft Normanton production site maintains stock valued at over £5.3 million, ensuring 24/7 assembly capabilities. With a workforce of around 160 and a turnover of £65 million, SEW-EURODRIVE UK supports major clients such as Amazon, Coca-Cola, and Manchester Airport Group.
